2 Shot In Separate Incidents After Concert In Stockton

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Police say that two people were shot in separate incidents after the Golden State Music Fest in Stockton Friday night.

The incidents happened a while after the concert ended, authorities note. In the first incident, Stockton Police say that a 33-year-old woman left the Stockton Arena and was near the 100 block of W. Fremont Street when, around 1:15 a.m., she heard several gunshots.

The woman soon realized that she had been hit. She was later taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.

A 15-year-old was hurt in the second shooting, which happened a little before 2 a.m. along the 600 block of N. Commerce Street. The teen had left the concert with two 20-year-olds when a car drove by and opened fire.

The teen was taken to the hospital and is said to be critical, but stable condition.

Investigators say that, while they are not sure if the shootings were related to an incident that happened at the concert, there are no signs at the moment to indicate that.

Few details on the suspects in each shooting were given.
