UPDATE: Teen Arrested In Fairfield Shooting

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) -- Police say that two people have been hurt in a shooting near Tabor and Pennsylvania Avenues Thursday afternoon, and a 16-year-old has been arrested.

A man was found at the scene with a gunshot wound, and is in critical condition. Officers were able to identify a vehicle used in the shooting and later found it near Solano State Prison.

Officers say the 16-year-old Vacaville male driver was arrested after shortly after dropping off 18-year-old Michael Ovando of Vacaville with a gunshot wound to the leg at Northbay Medical Center. Ovando is listed in stable condition.

The 16-year-old is on probation, and now faces more charges, including attempted homicide and shooting at an inhabited dwelling.

David Weir Elementary School, which is near the scene, was placed on lockdown due to the incident, police tell CBS13. That lockdown was lifted just before 4 p.m. on Thursday.
