1 Dead In Stockton Shooting

STOCKTON (CBS13) – A man is dead and another man is in the hospital after a shooting in Stockton Sunday morning.

Officer Joe Silva with Stockton Police says that, around 8:20 a.m., officers were called to 1200 East Harding Way for a report of two people shot.

Once at the scene, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other has been taken to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Sunday evening, investigators identified the man who died as 35-year-old Deacon Feuerhelm. 

Police are interviewing witnesses but do not have an idea on any motive for the shooting at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Stockton Police Department.
