Lockdown At 2 Rocklin Schools Lifted; Suspect Sought Arrested

ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Authorities put two Rocklin schools on precautionary lockdown Friday morning because of a suspect search in the area.

Both Whitney High and Twelve Bridges Elementary School were placed on lockdown at around 9 a.m. following the report of a residential burglary in the 200 block of Granite Park Court, according to a Rocklin Police Department statement.

Police from Lincoln and Rocklin created a perimeter around the area and searched on the ground while a CHP helicopter searched from above. The suspect was taken into custody around noon along the 200 block of Granite Park Court, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

According to police, 27-year-old Orangevale resident Marcus Daniels was arrested.

The lockdowns were lifted at 11 a.m.
