2 Rancho Cordova Men Arrested For Selling Stolen Items On Craigslist

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) – Authorities have arrested two people suspected of trying to sell stolen property through Craigslist.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, the victim filed a report for a stolen golf club set and travel case after their car was broken into at a hotel last week.

Detectives say the owner of the stolen items later saw their things being sold on Craigslist and contacted police.

Investigators tracked the suspects down and arrested Kenneth Stewart and Julius Tuiileila, both 33-year-old Rancho Cordova residents.

Both men are now facing charges of possession of stolen property.

Authorities say that if you do find your stolen items being sold online, take a screen capture of the post and contact law enforcement. As long as you have reported the items as stolen, investigators can usually intervene and help recover them.
