2 Dead Bodies Discovered In Room At Donner Lake Motel

TRUCKEE, Calif. (AP) - Truckee police are investigating two deaths at a motel near Donner Lake.

Sgt. Bob Womack says officers responded to a call at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday about two bodies discovered inside a room at Richard's Motel.

Womack says investigators are treating the deaths as suspicious but he's released no details about their names, age or gender. He says there's no reason to believe anyone else is involved or that there is any threat to public safety.

He says an autopsy is pending at the Nevada County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
