2 Dead After Fire At Mobile Home In Rural Stanislaus County

STANISLAUS COUNTY (CBS13) - Authorities are investigating after two people were found dead after a fire at a mobile home overnight.

The scene was along the 700 block of Ruble Road, between Turlock and Patterson.

Stanislaus County Sheriff's detectives say the Mountain View Volunteer Fire Department responded just after midnight. Firefighters were told two people could be inside the home, but intense flames prevented them from getting inside.

Once the flames were extinguished, crews found two bodies inside.

At this point, the fire is not considered suspicious, but it's still unclear as to what caused the fire.

Authorities say the two people who were inside the home were related to another family on the nearby dairy farm. Their identities have not been released, but authorities are describing the two victims as elderly adults who were living in the trailer.
