ARDEN-ARCADE (CBS13) – Firefighters say that two businesses at an Arden-Arcade strip mall were damaged in an early morning fire Saturday.

The fire was first reported just after 5 a.m., according to the Sacramento Metro Fire Department. Firefighters were called to the strip mall at 925 Howe Avenue after flames were seen shooting from the building.

Crews were able to force their way inside the building, but the flames continued to grow, forcing firefighters to pull out and go on the defensive.

With the help of crews from the Sacramento Fire Department, the flames were knocked down with only two businesses damaged. No one was hurt during the fire or firefight.

Investigators are still trying to find out what caused the fire.
