2 Arrested In Early-Morning Lodi Homicide

LODI (CBS13) — Two suspects have been arrested in a shooting that left one man dead in his truck on Monday morning.

Stockton Police pulled over a vehicle, and one of the occupants fled the vehicle. After the arrests, Lodi detectives arrested Edgar Corrales, 20, of Sacramento and a 16-year-old boy from Lodi on murder with gang enhancements.

Police found a firearm in the vehicle, as well as a firearm discarded by one of the occupants.

Both suspects have been identified as gang members.

The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 500 block of East Oak Street. A police spokesman says the 27-year-old victim was shot multiple times while sitting in his pickup truck outside of his home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Monday's shooting was the second homicide of the year, following the death of a 20-year-old man on Sunday.

Police have not said whether the two shootings are linked.
