13 Arrested In Stockton Marijuana Cultivation Raids

STOCKTON (CBS13) – A massive drug cultivation raid in Stockton has resulted in the arrest of 13 people and the seizure of pounds of marijuana.

The raids were conducted Wednesday, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office. A total of 19 search warrants were issued for homes in Stockton – a result of an investigation undertaken by the San Joaquin County Metropolitan Narcotics Task Force.

As a result of the raids, 13 people were arrested: Abigail Flores, 20, and Jesus Rodriguez, 28, both of McFarland; Eric Soto, 23 of Salton; and Ismael Rivera, 25, Omar Rios, 33, Christian Hernandez, 27, Miguel Tamayo-Beltran, 26, Osbaldo Rios, 37, Jessica Tamayo, 23, and Luis Roman, 27, all from Stockton. Three other unidentified men were also arrested.

All the people arrested face various charges relating to marijuana cultivation, the sheriff's office notes.

Along with the arrests, three children had to be taken into protective custody due to the raids.

More than 3,000 marijuana plants, 35 pounds of processed marijuana, 4 grams of cocaine and 1 gram of meth were seized during the raids. Further, $30,000 in cash was also found during the raids.

Numerous other agencies helped in the raids, including the Stockton Police Department and San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office SWAT teams, San Joaquin County Probation Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Delta RATT Auto Theft Task Force, California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control and Stockton Police and Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement teams.
