Teen Shot Multiple Times In South Sacramento Listed In Critical Condition

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sheriff's department detectives are investigating a shooting in South Sacramento that left one person with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting happened around 4:20 p.m. in the 7200 block of Lindale Drive. The gunman, a male, walked up to the teen described as a 16-year-old African American male and fired multiple shots. He then got into a waiting dark-colored sedan and left, driving southbound on Lindale, according to Sgt. Tony Turnbull, a Sacramento Sheriff's Department spokesperson.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The identity of the victim has not been released. It's unknown if the victim and suspect knew each other.
