A 93-year-old man from Wheatland was traveling in a 2017 Toyota Prius on Cornelius and failed to yield for a stop sign at Pleasant Grove. He was T-boned by a 2019 Toyota Highlander that was traveling southbound on Pleasant Grove, the CHP said.

The man suffered fatal injuries in the crash while the three people in the other vehicle were not injured. The deceased has not yet been identified.

Cornelius Avenue was closed for some time but has since reopened.

DUI is not contended to be a factor in the crash.
