1 Killed, 1 Injured After Shooting In Livermore CVS Pharmacy Parking Lot

LIVERMORE, Calif. (AP) — A gunman fired into a car in the parking lot of a Northern California shopping center, killing one man and wounding another, before fleeing the scene, police said.

The shooting outside a CVS Pharmacy was reported shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday, Livermore police said.

When officers got there, the driver of the car was already dead. The passenger was rushed to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Both men believed to be in their 20s and neither of them are from Livermore, said police, who are withholding their names.

Witnesses said a man armed with a long black gun took off with a second suspect in a black BMW with red racing stripes on the hood.

California Highway Patrol officers spotted the vehicle on Interstate 580 and chased after the car, but lost sight of it in Oakland. Livermore is about 35 miles east of San Francisco.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Livermore Police Department-Public Information Officer line at (925) 371-4777.
