1 Dead, 3 Injured In Early Morning Collision In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a man is dead and three others have been injured in a collision at a Las Vegas intersection.

The accident happened just after 5 a.m. Saturday in the area of Owens Avenue and H Street.

According to witnesses and evidence, a vehicle was making a left turn when a second car entered the intersection against a red traffic signal.

The two cars collided with one overturning and hitting a utility pole.

Police say the 20-year-old man driving the second vehicle died at the scene. A 20-year-old male passenger suffered moderate injuries.

The 55-year-old man driving the other car and an 18-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries.

Investigators believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

The 55-year-old driver did not show any signs of impairment.
