1 Dead, 3 Hurt In South Sacramento Shooting

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Authorities say one person has died after a shooting in south Sacramento Wednesday night.

Deputies say the shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. on Green Tree Drive, near Franklin Boulevard and Florin Road.

A group of people were reportedly hanging around a car when another car drove up. Words were exchanged and eventually shots were fired.

The car, only described as an SUV, drove off.

One man, a 20-year-old man, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the hospital, deputies say.

Three others – a 42-year-old woman, a 24-year-old man and another 20-year-old man – were also hurt in the shooting. All are expected to survive.
