1 Dead, 1 Hurt After Shooting In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police are investigating a shooting that has claimed the life of one person and injured a second.

The incident happened near Meadowview Road and Amherst Street just before 2 p.m. Sunday, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Officers say one man was transported from the scene, but later died at the hospital. The second shooting victim showed up a short time later at a local hospital.

The second person is expected to survive.

Investigators believe the two victims were shot when they were driving on Meadowview Road, near 22nd Street. Police believe the shots came from another car in the area.

No suspect description has been given and a specific motive for the incident has not been identified.
