YOUNGWOOD BOROUGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was fatally stabbed in Westmoreland County late Friday night.

A man who did not want to be identified told KDKA's Ross Guidotti that he previously lived on the property, but moved out after things got "out of hand."

"Not very shocked at all because of things that went on here," he said, "and there wasn't anybody really to control it. ... It was just whoever would stay here would be the bad element, and somebody that was always staying here was either being helped or used back and forth."

Authorities recently raided the home where Genard was found, trying to break up an alleged heroin ring. Genard, who has a criminal history, wasn't arrested in that operation.

State police have not released how they found out about Genard's death.

Anyone with information regarding Genard's death is asked to contact State Police at (724) 832-3257.
