By Ryan Mayer

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals played an 18-inning game on Sunday afternoon that ended in a 2-1 win for the Bucs on Starling Marte's solo blast off of the Nationals' Oliver Perez.

It was a back-and-forth affair featuring a game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth inning from Daniel Murphy and both teams having good chances to take the lead in the extra frames.
