Wounded Attempted Robbery Victim Arrested On Burglary Charges

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- An East Liberty man shot during an attempted robbery while standing at a bus stop overnight is now facing charges of his own.

Police say 26-year-old Theodore Gore was arrested Saturday on an outstanding warrant for a Sept. 2013 burglary on Blackadore Street.

Gore was taken into custody after showing up at UPMC Shadyside just after 12:20 a.m. with three gunshot wounds to his leg.

According to investigators, Gore told police he was waiting for a bus at Negley Avenue and Black Street when two men with pistols tried to rob him.

He refused to give them anything and that's when he says he was shot.

Gore was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital for treatment and then to the Allegheny County Jail.
