Worker Hospitalized After Being Hit By Construction Vehicle On I-70

WASHINGTON (KDKA) – A construction worker was taken to the hospital after being hit by a construction vehicle in Washington County Tuesday morning.

According to officials at the scene, the accident happened along Interstate 70 just after 7 a.m.

The construction zone near the Murtland Avenue exit is blocked off to other highway traffic.

The victim was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital, but there is no word on his condition at this time. He may have suffered head and leg injuries.

State police have turned the investigation over to PennDOT.

No other information has been released at this time.
