Crews Quickly Knock Down Penn Township House Fire

PENN TOWNSHIP (KDKA)- Fire crews rushed to the scene of a house fire in Westmoreland County early Wednesday morning.

The fire started just after 3 a.m. at a home on Colbaugh Drive in Penn Township.

One woman inside the home got out safely. No one was hurt.

Crews were able to get the fire under control in about 30 minutes.

The fire chief said some clothes were too close to the hot water heater in the home and caught on fire.
