Woman Killed In Route 51 Crash Identified

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman who died after being involved in a five-car crash on Route 51 over the weekend has been identified.

It happened around 6 p.m. on Route 51 near Woodruff Street on Sunday.

Maria Luevano, 40, was rushed from the scene of the crash to Allegheny General Hospital, and pronounced dead just before 7 p.m.

Luevano was from Willard, Ohio.

Officials say she was in the silver vehicle that initiated the crash but was not behind the wheel. The male driver was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital with a severed arm.

Route 51 was closed in the area for several hours and several other people were injured.
