Police search for man accused of shooting his girlfriend in Duquesne

DUQUESNE (KDKA) -- A woman was taken to a hospital after she was allegedly shot by her boyfriend in Duquesne.

Police and paramedics were called out to the scene along North Third Street just after 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police said a man shot his girlfriend, who was in a car outside the home. She was taken to a hospital and was last listed in stable condition.

SWAT officers were seen going in and out of a home in the area around 4 a.m. while searching for the suspect, but he wasn't found.

County police said the investigation revealed the woman had been robbed of a legal firearm and money after being shot. 

An arrest warrant was issued for Glenn Smith. He's facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, robbery and firearm violations. 

Police said if you see him, don't approach and call 911. He's described as 5-foot-8 with a thin build and a goatee. He's known to frequent the McKeesport area, police said.
