Police investigating after woman found dead in her Latrobe apartment

Police in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, are investigating after a woman was found dead in her apartment.

The woman, who was found in the Loyalhanna Apartments complex at 1111 Jefferson Street around 7 a.m. Sunday, was identified as Pamela Sue Puskar, 59, of Latrobe, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson.

Police say her death is being investigated as a homicide after autopsy results were returned Monday morning, and they are working with the Westmoreland County District Attorney's office while following up on leads.

Officials also released surveillance photographs of a "person of interest" and are asking any residents who may have seen the male shown in the picture on any residential or business surveillance cameras any time after 7 a.m. on Saturday to contact police immediately.
