Woman Flown To Hospital After Canonsburg Crash

CANONSBURG (KDKA) -- A woman had to be flown to the hospital Monday after her car was struck by a tractor-trailer in Canonsburg.

Police say she was driving down Morganza Road, when a tractor-trailer coming off Weaverton Road hit her car on the passenger side.

The force from the crash sent her vehicle across the road, over an embankment, through the parking lot of a Walgreens and onto Cavasina Drive.

The driver of the tractor-trailer told police and witnesses that his brakes had gone out.

The victim was taken to a Pittsburgh-area hospital.
