Woman Facing Drug Charges After Arrest In Banksville

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman is facing drug charges after being arrested when police were called out to check on a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot in Banksville.

According to Pittsburgh Police, 27-year-old Danielle Thomas was taken into custody Sunday afternoon in a parking lot in the 2500-block of Banksville Road.

Thomas was in the vehicle with another woman.

Police say they found a stamped bag of heroin in the vehicle.

Then, while taking Thomas to the Allegheny County Jail, police say they found 277 Oxycodone pills and more than $1,600 when she began taking objects from her pants.

Thomas is facing charges of possession of Oxycodone and heroin, and possession with intent to deliver.
