Woman Assaulted During Home Invasion, 2 Suspects Sought

GRAPEVILLE (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted during a home invasion in Westmoreland County Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the incident happened on Brown Avenue in the Village of Grapeville, Hempfield Township around 2:45 p.m.

Two men entered the house brandishing a handgun and an assault-style rifle.

One of the men struck a 47-year-old woman in the head with the handgun during the incident.

The two men left the house after receiving $990 from the female victim.

The suspects are believed to have fled the area in a cream colored, older model Toyota Camry with gold lettering.

One of the suspects was described as being a white male standing about 5-feet-11-inches tall. He was wearing dark clothes and a ski mask. The other was described as being a white male standing about 5-feet-7-inches tall. He was wearing dark clothes and a bandana on his face.
