Woman, 21, Killed In Point Breeze Car Crash

POINT BREEZE (KDKA) -- One woman died after a car crash in Point Breeze early Sunday morning.

The Allegheny County Coroner's office has identified the victim as 21-year-old Briauna Slaughter.

Police say the accident happened in the 6800-block of Penn Avenue shortly before 3:30 a.m.

According to police, a 29-year-old man was driving with Slaughter in the front passenger seat when they crashed into a telephone pole, and Slaughter was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at UPMC Presbyterian. The driver was sent to UPMC Presbyterian in stable condition.

The identity of the driver has not yet been released.
