Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Pittsburgh Area

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Pittsburgh area.

The National Weather Service says one to three inches of snow could fall overnight and into Tuesday.

The alert starts at 1:00 a.m. and runs through 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Forecasters say the most intense snow will fall between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

This will likely make the roads a bit of a mess, with wind gusts around 30 miles per hour and periodic low visibility.

On Monday, the state unveiled a new feature on the 511pa.com website that allows the public to track snow plows throughout the state.
