Winter Storm Packs Wide Range Of Precipitation

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Our latest winter storm started pulling away to the east this morning, after dropping snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain.

Pittsburgh received an official 5.1 inches of snowfall with 5 to 6 inches across the North Hills.

A total of 7 inches fell in in Cabot, Butler County and 9 inches was reported in Punxsutawney.

Otherwise, layers of ice created issues on various roads this morning.

This afternoon, KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bomwan expects a little light snow and flurry activity, which may leave a dusting in spots.

The high for today will be 34 degrees. Tonight will be mostly cloudy and colder with a low of 15 degrees.

For Thursday, expect more clouds than sun. It will be cold again with a high of 23 degrees.

Bowman is tracking the next storm that could affect the area Sunday into Monday. The patch of the storm will be monitored to determine whether we get grazed with light snow or get hit with something much heavier.
