Winds Spread Backyard Fire To Mt. Pleasant Home
MT. PLEASANT (KDKA) -- A house in Mt. Pleasant caught fire Saturday afternoon when winds carried the flames from a backyard fire to the house.
Firefighters say a man was burning stuff in the backyard of his home at 251 High Street. Winds caused the flames to spread to his house. There was extensive damage on the first floor and in the back of the house.
The man suffered second-degree burns and was flown to UPMC Mercy.
