Wilkening: Key to Super Bowl Is Denver Passing Attack
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Super Bowl XLVIII takes place Sunday in New Jersey between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.
Tab Douglas previewed the game with Mike Wilkening of Pro Football Talk and Wilkening said that the key to the game is how Denver's passing attack fares against the Seattle defense.
"I think Seattle's secondary by the numbers has been the best this year," Wilkening said. "Denver's probably going to have to play its best passing game to solve a secondary like Seattle's and to solve a pass rush like Seattle's."
Jerome Bettis is also a finalist for the Hall of Fame, and Wilkening said that he thinks Bettis is Hall of Fame-worthy.
"Jerome Bettis to me is someone that is probably going to get in at some point. The volume of yardage, more than 13,000, is going to work in his favor," Wilkening said. "He's a featured back in a time where there were featured backs and now there's a little less of that."
