Why One Woman Puts Her Husband Before Her Kids

PITTSBURGH(News Radio 1020 KDKA) - Putting your spouse before your kids? Some may say it is a crazy notion, but Robert Mangino talked to one woman who says that this should be the case.

Stephanie Jankowski, a freelance writer for WeAreTeachers.com and her own website, wrote a new column titled, "Why I Put My Husband Before Our Kids."

"It started the second we said, 'I do.'" Jankowski said. "We are in it for the long haul and when we had kids, we wanted to make sure we kind of maintained our relationship. And the only way to make that doable, was to make sure that we were each other's priority."

Mangino and Jankowski also talked about how people put their kids first and the kids are learning to be selfish and put nothing above their own needs.
