GREENSBURG (KDKA) – Three people have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Westmoreland County man.

According to police, Matthew Genard, 50, was found dead at a home in the 100 block of Wineman Lane in Youngwood Borough around 10 p.m. Friday.

Police said Genard was the target of a calculated robbery and murder.

Police have arrested 40-year-old Linda Quidetto, 20-year-old Michael Covington and 40-year-old Jason Sullenberger. Investigators say they were after drugs and money.

According to police, Genard was stabbed 20 times and had his throat slit. The suspects also stole $1,100 in cash, two bricks of heroin and some crack cocaine.

"They were very clear in their plan that the robbery was also going to be a murder. They were going to rob and kill him. It was thought out, it was premeditated. It was something they talked about hours in advance. They took other steps to make sure they weren't going to be caught when it came to walking by the residence to make sure there were no other witnesses. It was not a very well devised plan, but nevertheless it was planed," State Police Trooper Stephen Limani said.

Meanwhile, 40-year Christopher "CJ" David is still on the run. Police said he is believed to be dangerous and to call 911 if seen.

Police believe he may have been the mastermind of the crime.
