Westbound Turnpike Reopens After Tractor-Trailer Crash
INDIANOLA, Pa. (KDKA/AP) - A stretch of the westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike has reopened after a tractor-trailer crash Thursday morning.
Pennsylvania Turnpike officials announced Thursday afternoon that the scene of tractor-trailer accident had been cleared, the westbound lanes between the Allegheny Valley Interchange and the Butler Valley Interchange have been reopened.
State police say the truck driven by 44-year-old Walter Lee Mida, of Wayne, Michigan, hit a guardrail then tipped over onto its side about 11 a.m. Thursday. That happened in Indiana Township, about three miles west of the Route 28 exit, northwest of Pittsburgh.

Police say Mida, who drives for Quickway Carriers, based near Columbus, Ohio, was taken to a hospital with only minor injuries.
The westbound lanes were closed during the early afternoon so crews could clear the wreckage and police could investigate.
