West Mifflin Water Main Break Sends Water Shooting Into Air

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Penn-American Water Company was out fixing a burst water main in West Mifflin Sunday.

Officials say the break happened around 6 a.m. between Bettis Road and Homestead-Duquesne Road.

Some witnesses reported seeing water shoot as high as 30 feet in the air.

The water was shut off while crews repaired the main for about 30 or 40 customers who were affected.

No word on what caused the break.
