West End Bridge Crash Sends Several To Hospital

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Several people were sent to the hospital after a crash at the West End Bridge on Sunday.

Reports of the crash first started coming in around 9:30 a.m.

Authorities say a Jeep was coming through the intersection of Saw Mill Run Boulevard and West Carson Street when another car clipped the back of the Jeep. The Jeep spun out and flipped over onto its roof. Three people were in the Jeep, and one person was ejected.

The other car continued until it crashed into the sidewalk and a concrete wall at Steuben Street. One person was in the car.

All four people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The West End Bridge was closed for several hours and reopened around 12:30 p.m.
