Overnight Water Main Break Leaves Some Oakland Residents With Low Water Pressure

OAKLAND (KDKA) -- Some Oakland residents are either experiencing low water pressure or are with no water at all following an overnight water main break.

The break took place between Oakland Avenue and South Bouquet Street, behind the Primanti Brothers along Forbes Avenue.

This comes just after students at the University of Pittsburgh moved in just a couple of days ago.

The force of the break sent mud and gravel onto the busy Oakland streets and caused the sidewalk to significantly buckle.

Pittsburgh Water said the break will be repaired by 5 p.m. on Saturday.

WATCH: KDKA's Pam Surano reports live on the water main breaks.
