Water Main Break Knocks Out Power To Several Pitt Buildings

OAKLAND (KDKA) - A water main break has led to a major power outage at the University of Pittsburgh.

Duquesne Light says the water caused a major transformer to blow.

The Langley, Clapp, Crawford, Alumni Hall, Life Science, music and SIS buildings are all closed today.

Classes are cancelled and employees who work in those buildings should not report to work.

Duquesne Light says it could take more than eight hours to fix.
