Water Main Break Impacting Service At CMU

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) –Crews are working to repair a major water main break that has left several Carnegie Mellon University buildings without service.

According to CMU's website, Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority crews will be working on the 20-inch line from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The affected buildings are:

•Woodlawn;
•Roselawn;
•Margaret Morrison Apartments;
•Spirit House;
•Hamerschlag;
•McGill;
•Boss;
•Henderson;
•Welch;
•Scobell;
•Donner House;
•Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall;
•Skibo Gym;
•Doherty Apartments;
•The Greek Quad;
•Stever House; and
•Mudge House.

Students are being asked to reserve some drinking water while repairs are being made.

Students are also being asked to not use the restrooms in the affected buildings. Drinking water and restrooms in building not listed will be available.
