Water Main Break Backs Up Traffic In Upper St. Clair

UPPER ST. CLAIR (KDKA) -- A water main break left several homes without water and caused traffic problems Tuesday evening in Upper St. Clair.

The 12-inch main broke along McLaughlin Road at the intersection with Route 19 right near Upper St. Clair High School.

The ramp to Route 19 had to be closed.

Police were also brought in to direct traffic because stop lights in the area went out.

According to Pennsylvania American Water, the break left about 75 customers without water.

They hope to have repairs made and water restored by 6 a.m.
