Water Line Bursts Inside Allegheny General Hospital

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Allegheny General Hospital is working on repairs after a 3-inch water line burst, flooding parts of the hospital.

Officials say the hospital has implemented its Emergency Operations Plan as a result.

They say water went into the elevator shafts and one stairwell, after the water line in the heating system burst.

However, officials say they are still accepting emergency patients and that "the impact to patients has been limited to transport issues."
