For the Pirates, snapping an eight-game losing streak last night against the Cardinals with a 4-3 victory was fantastic, but after the game a much better moment unfolded in the stands just off of the diamond.

Pirates' reliever Trevor Williams, 24, made his MLB debut, pitched three scoreless innings against the Cardinals and even would up with getting the 'W' thanks to a go-ahead Jung Ho Kang solo home run in the bottom of the eighth.

But even better still, his father, young child and his wife, were all in attendance to watch it happen and were overcome with emotion when they embraced Williams once the Pirates snagged the final out.

While the moment with his wife and youngster was a special one, the look on Williams' dad's face when he received the game ball from his son, who finally made his dream come true after years in the minor leagues, was just priceless.

Williams spoke with reporters about the moment after the game and said "there's no one else I would rather share that moment with than with my dad."

He also took to Twitter to thank everyone who reached out after witnessing a moment that Williams is sure to remember for the rest of his life.

The Pirates and Williams begin their crucial four-game series against the Cincinnati Reds tonight at PNC Bank part tonight at 7 p.m. ET.

Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he'd gladly trade them for a championship for any of his other three teams.
