Bicyclist Struck, Killed Along State Route 40 In Washington Co.

BUFFALO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A cyclist was struck and killed along State Route 40 in Washington County on Thursday evening.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m. on the westbound side of the road in Buffalo Township.

According to Washington County officials, the cyclist was hit by a pickup truck and pronounced dead at 8 p.m.

The Washington County coroner's office has identified the victim as 51-year-old Robert E. Henry, of Buffalo Township.

The impact of the crash threw Henry from his pedalcycle into a culvert some distance away. His pedalcycle was destroyed.
