Washington Co. EMT Accused Of Multiple Sex Offenses Against Children

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police have arrested and charged an EMT who is accused of sexually assaulting children.

Allegheny County Police arrested 24-year-old Andrew Demeri while he was on the job. Officials say he is an employee of an ambulance service in Washington County.

However, investigators say, "it is not believed that any of the incidents occurred during the course of his employment."

Demeri is accused of "multiple sex offenses against children."

Police say the alleged incidents happened in McKeesport, Pircairn and Westmoreland County.

He is facing two counts each of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, unlawful contact with minors, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.

He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail after being arraigned on $100,000 bond.
