Police Investigating Violent Homewood North Home Invasion

HOMEWOOD NORTH (KDKA) - Three people were arrested in connection with an early Thursday morning home invasion in North Homewood.

According to police, the incident happened around 3 a.m. at a home in the 1000-block of Lawndale Street.

The suspects entered the home by throwing a table or chair through the front window. A man inside retreated to the third floor with his girlfriend and called police.

The home owner believes the suspects heard him on the phone and took off without taking anything from the house.

Officers on patrol nearby responded and arrested the three suspects. A handgun and an unknown amount of heroin were found in a car nearby as well.

The suspects have been identified as Jamal Woods, 20, Kevin Gibson, 19, and Christopher Gunter, 19.

The man who called police was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant in Beaver County.
