More than a month after the shooting, police arrested 17-year-old Shayla Johnson on robbery and conspiracy charges. Her lawyers are attempting to have her case moved to juvenile court.

The Associated Press said that investigators allege 20-year-old Onaje Dickinson was also involved with Johnson in a plot to lure Carpenter to a home and rob him.
