Driver Killed In Amwell Twp. Crash

WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) -- A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Washington early Sunday morning.

It happened on Chestnut Ridge Road in Amwell Township around 2:50 a.m.

According to the Washington County coroner's office, 21-year-old Ralph David Moore was driving north on Chestnut Ridge Road when he lost control of the vehicle. His vehicle went off the road and crashed into a tree, causing the vehicle to catch on fire.

Moore was pronounced dead at the scene 4:15 a.m.

The crash is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
