Verona Village Inn Restaurant Announces Closing

VERONA (KDKA) -- A popular restaurant that's been serving homemade Italian food for decades says they have been forced to shut their doors to begin the year.

In a website post the Verona Village Inn claims they have lost their parking lease.

Owner Eric Dilianni says they can no longer operate as a viable business.

The Pittsburgh Pickle Company purchased a building near the property but does not own the Village Inn or the property on which it is located.

They posted the following post on their Facebook page in regards to the situation.

Dilanni tells KDKA he plans to open another restaurant in the future.

He says he cherishes all his customers and he will refund all unused gift cards. They should be mailed to the restaurant with a return address.
