Elderly Couple Navigates Vehicle Onto Railroad Tracks On West Carson Street

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A vehicle was stuck on railroad tracks on the 2900 block of West Carson Street Saturday morning.

Police say they found the vehicle and the elderly couple inside around 9 a.m. Saturday.

First responders safely retrieved the couple from the vehicle and sent them to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police say their initial investigation leads them to believe the vehicle got onto the tracks from a McKees Rocks service road.

One lane of West Carson Street was shut down.

Firefighters, EMS workers and police were all at the scene.
